Update: Congrats to Transgriot for winning the GLAAD award for best blog this year! Check out the incredible work on the site, which works to foster understanding and acceptance of trans people inside and outside communities of color. We are honored to be nominated in the same category!
On January 28, GLAAD announced its 32nd Media Award nominees, and we're excited to share that we were nominated for "Outstanding Blog" for the fourth year in a row! We're honored to be recognized alongside other fantastic sites, including: The Reckoning, Joe My God, Pittsburgh Lesbian Correspondents, and Transgriot.
The GLAAD Media Awards celebrate and recognize film, television, music, books and journalism for their "fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and the issues that affect their lives.
Our category will be announced as part of the ceremonies taking place virtually on April 7th. Though it's cliché to say, we can't help it: win or lose, it truly is an honor just to be nominated! We appreciate GLAAD's recognition to increase the availability and quality of resources for gay, bi and trans dads, and to tell as many of our family creation stories as possible. We're a small but passionate and dedicated team, and we wouldn't be here without our bloggers, contributing writers, and you, our readers. Thank you for your ongoing support and readership! This honor is as yours as it is ours.
