#GayDadWednesday: Photo Diary of Andrew, Raynard and Vivienne

Raynard (Daddy) and Andrew (Papa) met on a cruise ship in the Bahamas, and have been together for more than 9 years. On February 5, 2015, they got married; a few months later, on May 12, Raynard and Andrew became dads for the first time when their daughter Vivienne was born.

Raynard and Andrew chose adoption as their path to fatherhood after they experienced some setbacks with surrogacy. Although having their own genetics was not a priority, initially surrogacy made the most sense for them as a family. In hindsight, both Raynard and Andrew are thrilled that it didn't work as they couldn't imagine life without their Vivienne.

On fatherhood, Andrew shares, "There is no greater joy than being a parent. All of the heartache, pain, and setbacks you may endure on your journey will be worth it in the end."

Follow this family as they begin their day in their hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, then travel up to Tampa to cruise on Hillsborough Bay, visit the Florida Aquarium and spend a night away from home.
