Earlier today, gay dads Jared Mullen and Ryan Tunstall, along with their adopted daughter Isabella, were introduced to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George. The meeting happened during a children’s playgroup Prince William and Kate Middleton were attending as part of their official royal trip to New Zealand.
When asked to describe their children’s play date and the brief meeting with the royal couple, Mr. Mullen said, “Isabella and George had a little play together, they were chums. The Duke and Duchess are both very lovely and loving parents." Mr. Tunstall added, "Isabella and George had a lot of fun on the drums.”
While all the kids in attendance were born around George’s birthday, July 22 of last year, George was clearly the biggest baby, and an early walker to boot. The photo shows his mother holding him by the hands while he tries to make a few steps.
He was wearing a pair of Rachel Riley sailboat smocked dungarees over a white body T-shirt by the Chelsea Clothing Company. The dungarees, priced at £75 (about US $126) quickly sold out.
