What foster care myths are untrue?
In this video discusses the common myths and misperceptions surrounding children in foster care.
The myths and misperceptions surrounding our children in foster care often create barriers to their movement to permanency. It's important to understand the misperceptions that these children are too old to live with a family, that they have too many challenges "that they couldn't possibly fit into a family", that it is too expensive to adopt. And that those myths and misperceptions that they can't fit in to a family are simply that, myths and misperceptions.
