How Can I Find Other Foster Families?

It's important that foster families find a supportive network.

In this video Rita Soronen of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption explains how to find other foster families and create a supportive network.

All families need supportive networks but specifically families that foster can reach out in many ways to find other families that are going through some of the same challenges and celebrations that they might be going through with fostering. They can find those networks through church, through their social worker, through their agency which whom they are fostering, through school, through other organizations they can find online. There are a wealth of options when finding supportive foster family networks. It critical to get that kind of support, to share ideas, information and mostly to share a similar experience.
