The first day of spring has sprung and we're already thinking of family vacations! For travel ideas for your gay dad family and also for excellent photos, we didn’t have to look further than 2TravelDads, the gay dad travel blog that goes from one adventure to the next (and we travel along vicariously). Check out some photo inspo and travel guides from the two dads who can't get enough of traveling and exploring with their two sons.

Yosemite National Park, California

Look where we made it to!! We're finally in #Yosemite and it's #perfect in every way.  Having only visited #YosemiteNPS in the summer before, we've got to say that #spring is the best time to visit.  Knowing the crazy crowds that are here in the summer months, the number of people here now is #incredible.  Today we're doing some #hiking and taking a #tour, and then just coming back to the #EvergreenLodge to chill.  Can't wait to head outside! #FindYourPark #2TDgoparks2016

Yosemite Park is one of the 2TravelDads' favorite National Parks! Read their guide for more travel ideas to one of the most popular nature destinations for both U.S. and world travelers.

Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, Washington

When you have #kids you do things that you thought you grew out of... like skipping #rocks at the #beach.  It's actually really funny how as you get older, even if you're in great shape, the weird act of twisting your body to create torque that's nice and low to the ground is actually stupid painful a few hours later.  #Aging. Blah. . . This awesome beach is actually the #DungenessSpit, a nearly six mile long sandbar that stretches off the #OlympicPeninsula into the #StraitofJuanDeFuca.  It's a great spot to #explore with kids with loads of #driftwood, rocks, shells and amazing wildlife viewing. . .

Rob from 2TravelDads skips stones with his sons in Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. This exciting destination in Washington has beaches, hikes and some excellent wildlife watching opportunities, including whales and bald eagles!

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Our trip to #Chattanooga and Atlanta was without Papa: 1 #dad and 2 #kids.  We still had fun, but always wish he could #travel with us.  We've done the #TennesseeAquarium as a #family before though, so we felt cool going without Chris this time.  #RiverPlace, the area outside the #aquarium, is really fun for running around and letting out #kid energy... because once inside the aquarium, it's dark and quiet in a lot of spots.  We have so much #fun each time we come back here! . .

Do you live in Tennessee, or plan to swing by anytime soon? You should check out the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga! It comes highly recommended from the 2TravelDads.

Jacksonville Beach, Florida

It's such a different #experience watching #sunset on the #ocean when the #sun is behind you. It was so #colorful and #warmwater makes it even more enjoyable. We are such a #water #family. :) #familytravel #familyvacation #gaydads #gaydad #gaytravel #instagood #instatravel #travelblog #travelgram #travelstoke #travelwithkids #Florida #visitflorida #atlantic #coolkids #guysthattravel #clouds #waves #JacksonvilleBeach #jax #pier #2TDSunnySouth2015

Craving warmer weather and some serious beach time? Then Jacksonville is the place for you! 2TravelDads share their 5 reasons why you'll fall in love with Jacksonville Beach.

Various Hikes in the United States

Is there anything better than #hiking on a #hotday? Probably, but when you're with your #kids on a #mountain in the #freshair, well, that's hard to beat.  Another one of our #hikingsafety tips is #WATER.  Always have more water than you'll think you need or have the means to get more water on the #trail. #Sippy cups and #CamelBack containers are life savers when it comes to #familytravel. . .

Deception Pass State Park, Washington

Just because it's #Washington doesn't mean we don't get actual #beach days.  We probably get more #beachtime than a lot of people in California or Florida... cuz we go to the beach even when it's cold... which is almost all of the time, except right now because it's actual #summer and we're getting a #hotday here and there.  This #awesome beach is at #DeceptionPass State Park on #WhidbeyIsland... which is one of the stops on our #PugetSound itinerary.  Check it out!!! . .

One of the best travel ideas: a great family destination in the Pacific Northwest, Deception Pass State Park. Stunning views, some seriously high walks across impressive bridges, and beach action.

St. Simons Lighthouse, Georgia

We #love a good #lighthouse and the #StSimons #Island #light is a great one for a #familyday #adventure. There are no height restrictions and there's a great #park right there. Perfect for #familytravel in #Georgia! #exploreGeorgia #instatravel #travelgram #travelblog #travelwithkids #gayswithkids #gaydad #gaydads #lantern #coastal #playingtourist #twodads #kidstagram #GoldenIsles #bythewater #waterlife

2TravelDads visited Georgia and Florida and LOVED it! Read their family travel guide to a couple of the southern states.

Roslyn, Washington

Apparently we're not used to it being #sunny... Why is there only one solid smile?  Oh well, awesome #family #weekend of #camping and playing in #EasternWashington.  It's such a cool region with such a variety of activities we all love, including #swimming and hiking.  Seattle peeps:  head east of the mountains to #Roslyn next time you can't think of what to do for a #getaway.  You'll be pleasantly surprised! . .

Camping at Cle Elum Lake, and checking out nearby Roslyn, Washington. The microbreweries and fine-dining choices so close to these destinations make this part of the Pacific Northwest a place to come back to for 2TravelDads.

Puget Sound and Seattle, Washington

Today Chris said "I want to be in a picture at the #beach..." Yep, since he's bringing home bacon everyday, it's rare that he gets a #beachday even though the other three of us go all the time. We had so much fun #beachcombing and digging in the #sand. And today the water was #warm enough to get in!!! We love #summer in the #PNW! . . #family #family gram #familytravel #travelgram #instatravel #instabeach #gaydad #gaydads #lgbtfamily #twodads #gayswithkids #sunshine #instahappy

Puget Sound and Seattle with the kids is a great way to have a trip with a bit of everything!

Sequoia National Park, California

We were sad to leave #SequoiaNationalPark but we're heading into #Yosemite today!!!! #Sequoia totally impressed us and we fell #inlove with the #park.  There was so much more to do and see than we expected and next time we'll for sure be there in the summer when we can go #camping and have a #picnic every day.  Seriously, such a cool place!  #FindYourPark #twodads #2TDgoparks2016
