Our Favorite Gay Family Holiday: Halloween

It's October now and that means it's time to bring out the sweaters (yay, no more worrying about my expanding waistline!), time to finalize plans for this Fall's annual "apple-picking/hayride-riding/country-fair-food eating" trip, and, most importantly, time to begin preparations for the year's (unofficially) most important gay dad family holiday: Halloween!

Last year we received many, many pictures from our readers showing their families dressed in their Halloween best. We loved getting them! We're re-sharing some of our favorites now to help inspire you for this year's holiday. Why did we select these photos in particular? Because each family has a costume theme and everyone (dad and kid alike) participates!

D.C. Superheros: Corey, Brian and their two kids, Houston, Texas.

How to Train Your Dragon: Eric, Jerry and their two kids, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Ghostbusters: Doug and Brett with their son, Atlanta, Georgia.

Hawaii: Frankie and BJ with their son, Toronto, Ontario.

Alice in Wonderland: Michael, Matt, their two kids and the Cheshire Cat, Houston, Texas.

Peter Pan: Daniel and Victor with their daughter.

Toy Story: Alika and Charles with their son, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Wizard of Oz: Matthew and Kiel with their daughter.

Winnie the Pooh: Jason and his family.

Star Wars: NPH, David Burtka and family, New York City, NY.

Here are more photos for even more inspiration.
