Want to See a Gay Dad Family Cartoon? You Can Help

This guest post was written by Sandro Isaack, a storyteller who started as an actor and can currently be seen in Amazon Studios' Golden Globe winner series, Mozart in the Jungle, playing Pavel. He is also the author of the children's book Stork M.I.A., which focuses on a gay couple's journey to find the stork and become Dad and Dad to baby Ava.

I want to invite all dads and dads-to-be to be part of something really special: Ava, The Lucky Girl With Two Dads - Kickstarter Project will allow us to create a gay dad family cartoon!

The universe of kid's cartoons is varied and amazing. Yet, too many children of gay parents are watching cartoons from a borrowed universe, or a universe that doesn't fully embrace their reality. I think it's time to introduce kids to a cartoon that features same-gender couples and their kids as a natural part of life. Not as something special or different. "Ava, The Lucky Girl With Two Dads" is a 2D animated series that will introduce kids to a cartoon that features same-gender couples and their kids as a natural part of life. Not as something special or different.

Ava is 6 years old, and wants to know everything about everything. Dad and Dad are doing their best to answer all her questions, but little Ava's determination has no limits. She plans to become the first woman president in US History. Or likely second, or third. But she'll first need to figure out how to become president of second grade, which may prove a much harder task than she imagines. Join Ava's adventures as she prepares to be a future POTUS, and let's teach our kids that they can be anything they want to be. Let's tell this story together.

Check out Sandro's Kickstarter campaign here, you'll find lots of levels to give and each comes with a bunch of cool rewards! www.VoteForAva.com
