From the start, Same Love Surrogacy has always had the unique position in the industry of being here specifically to service the LGBTQ community.

Same Love Surrogacy was founded in 2014 by gay fathers who had gone through their own journeys to parenthood with traditional agencies. They were motivated to create an agency that dedicated their time and attention to helping other members of the LGBTQ community on their path to parenthood.

It's this desire to service the needs of the LGBTQ community that also leads to a database of amazing pro-LGBTQ egg donors. Their database is filled with tons of ethnically diverse, educated and driven egg donors who come to them specifically seeking out the experience of donating for someone who is LGBTQ.

The team at Same Love Surrogacy works hard to find donors from diverse backgrounds. They actively seek donors who are not only excited to donate to members of the LGBTQ community, but they specifically WANT to donate to those members. Often times, the donors have a close personal connection to members of the LGBTQ community in their own lives.

Screening of Egg Donors

Egg donors with SLS are well informed of the process and understand that they will go through intense evaluations for any journey they may take. These evaluations include, but are not limited to psychological, genetic and medical screening.

Support Open Donation

As an agency, they encourage their donors and intended parents to have an open donation. During the matching process, the donors and intended parents get to know one another over a video call so they can learn more about one another beyond what is included in their profiles. Often times as children get older, they will naturally become inquisitive and want to know more about who they are. Open donation leaves that option open for all involved.

No Re-Match Fee

SLS does not want their intended parents to stress about the financial burden of surrogacy, so they work hard to make the process as smooth and streamlined as possible. In the event that there are bumps in the road, they work to re-match intended parents with other egg donors at no additional cost to them.

Danny Cook-Wong, co-owner and co-founder of Same Love Surrogacy

Danny and his husband Jay's personal experience creating their family via surrogacy and egg donation helped them envision a world-class agency with full transparency and exceptional service.

Danny was born in Hong Kong and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 3. Family has always been of utmost importance to him, and he has always known that he wanted to be a dad, but never thought it would be possible. After making his dream a reality, Danny turned his passion for family building to assisting other LGBTQ individuals with the creation of their own families.

Ashley Myers, Director of Surrogacy Services

Ashley was raised in Southern California and now resides in Portland, Oregon with her three children.

She has worked in the medical field for 12 years, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 10 years. Ashley has had experience with several different cases of infertility and she has been a successful surrogate herself four times, both for international couples and same-sex couples in the United States.

It was Ashley’s heart and desire for building families through surrogacy that brought her to Same Love Surrogacy in early 2015 as a surrogate coordinator. Now, as the director of surrogacy services, Ashley is responsible for managing surrogate and egg donor coordinators as well as overseeing all of the surrogates in our program. She also coordinates our surrogate support events throughout the year.

Vanessa Torres, Lead Egg Donor Coordinator & Surrogate Assistant

Vanessa is a former surrogate for both same sex and international couples. She is the Lead Egg Donor Coordinator & Surrogate Assistant with 10+ years creating families. She has paralegal experience specializing in family and surrogacy law. Vanessa feels she is extremely lucky to work in an industry that has such a big impact on so many people's lives. She loves making the egg donation experience a memorable journey for both intended parents and egg donors.

Miu Yamashita, Egg Donor Coordinator & Surrogate Assistant

Miu brings to SLS her clinical expertise as former IVF and third-party coordinator at renowned clinics in both California and Hawaii. Her bubbly personality and positive attitude aligns well with the egg donors, supporting a smooth donation journey. She is organized and quick, and she is always an advocate for both her intended parents and donors.
