Barnaby Murff, CEO
Barnaby Murff leads Extraordinary Families with more than 25 years’ experience in social and economic justice work. Her expertise guiding institutional advancement for LA-based nonprofits, such as The Music Center, The Colburn School, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust lends a holistic understanding to the complex challenges facing underserved communities. Her unique experience helping mothers welcome children into their families as a birth doula offers insight into the multifaceted needs of all families.
Barnaby is passionate about promoting and improving the quality of life for all children and families in foster care. Her in-depth knowledge of community development and collaboration puts Extraordinary Families at the forefront of best practices and child-centered policies. Under her leadership, Extraordinary Families is expanding its reach across sectors and building collaboration with partners in child welfare.
Barnaby holds a Bachelors in Art History from the American University of Paris and is a proud parent of 3 incredible grown/ing women.
